More Words, Easter Pics, and Raising our Hands!

Charlotte has now added, "grandma" and "Papa Dave" to her expanding vocabulary. Before she could just say "Papa."

Grace is continuing to tell me all the reasons why she can't go to Disney World. I told her that she needed to get rid of her cold in order to go to Disney World, and then about a week or two later she hurt her finger, asked me to kiss it, and then got really sad. When I asked her what was wrong, she said, "Now I can't go to Disney World until it is all better."

Today, I took the girls to get their Easter pics taken. A friend of Amy was doing mini-shoots and so I decide it was a good reason to try out their outfits and get some new pics. The girl had a live bunny. Grace wouldn't smile at the camera and Charlotte kept getting up and walking around. I'm not even confident that she got one good pic. Of course, Grace had to go to the bathroom in the middle of it too, prolonging this torture a little longer. Cross your fingers. The other really hilarious thing Charlotte and Grace are doing lately is raising their hands everytime we start by saying, "Raise your hand if..." Charlotte loves this. Tonight I said, "Raise your hand if you had fun at the party today." Hands raised. "Raise your hand if you want some more milk." Hands raised. Grace ignored me after about two rounds of this. "Raise your hand if your name is Grace." Charlotte still raised her hands. It is the cutest little thing, especially how fast she shoots her arm upwards. I'll have to get a video.

17 days till Disney... can't wait.

More Words and the Zoo

Since I last wrote, Charlotte has added several new words to her ever-expanding vocab list. She now can say "cracker," "apple," "purple," "bird" and "bear."

She started saying bear when she saw a polar bear at the zoo. It was the cutest darn thing. The polar bear was full of action and was walking back and forth outside. Charlotte started clapping, waving, and yelling, "Bear! Bear!" I am taking it that it was her favorite animal of the zoo.

She also said, "Bird" when we saw the Bald Eagles. Pretty cool stuff. Grace on the other hand could not wait to get away from the Bald Eagle and said, "I do not like those animals, lets leave." I'm not sure if she was frightened or what?" She did however want to see the snakes. The whole day, she kept asking to see the snakes. Of course, the reptile house was closed so she couldn't. Oh well, there's always next time!
